Goalie Skills

The goalie skills program is designed to develop your goalie and push them to the next level.  The cost includes (8) weekly sessions that focus on the following:

Skill Areas
Positioning
Movement
Tracking
Puck Handling
Rebound Control
Angles
Save Selection

Cost: $250


Schedule: Tuesdays April 5 - May 24
*Squirt/PeeWee @ 5:45-6:30 PM
*Bantam/Midget @ 6:40-7:40 PM

*Note that this program is not for beginners – goalies must have played at least one season in a travel or house program.


Spring Teams

Our spring teams offer skaters the chance to play high-intensity competitive hockey in April – May.  The Komets will roster teams at the Squirt through Bantam levels for an 8-game spring league and one tournament.  See details below:

Skater Eligibility: Players must have participated in a full-ice travel or house program in the 2015-16 season.  All players must be currently registered with USA Hockey. 

*** Please note that players will participate on spring teams at their age bracket for the 2016-17 season.  Birth years are referenced below. ***

  • Squirts (2006-2007)
  • Peewee (2004-2005)
  • Bantams (2002-2003)

Max Team Size: 15 skaters + 2 goalies

Cost: $395/Skater; $195/Goalie

  • Game jersey
  • (10) Full-Ice Practices
  • (8) Spring League Games (4 home / 4 away)
  • (1) Tournament – Ice Dogs Invitational, May 10-15 in Vernon Hills, IL

Practices:  Practices run March 21 - May 25.  All practices held at the Kenosha Ice Arena
Monday
Squirt B: 6:10-7:10PM
PeeWee: 7:20-8:20PM

Wednesday
Squirt A: 6:45-7:45PM
Bantam: 7:55-8:55PM


Games:  Spring league games will be held on the weekends at Kenosha Ice Arena and various rinks in Northern Illinois.  The tournament is hosted at Glacier Ice in Vernon Hills, IL - Schedule is TBD


Tryouts: Evaluations will be held at each age bracket – players not selected for a team will receive a full refund.

Midget Scrimmage

Midget Scrimmage Skate - open to all skaters who are in high school or becoming freshman this fall.  This is a weekly, no checking scrimmage with a referee. Teams will change every week. (requires minimum of 20 skaters)

Cost: $150 per Skater; $50 per Goalie
Includes 8-weekly sessions of 60-75 minutes each. 

Schedule:
April 4 - May 23.  All scrimmages held at the Kenosha Ice Arena

Mondays 8:30-9:45 PM


Off-Ice Training


Once again, LM Precision Training is proud to offer our athletes spring off-ice training sessions – specifically designed for hockey players.  This is an 10-week program for all players – Squirt through Midget.

The program includes (3) 90 minute sessions per week for a total of 30 sessions.  Each session will focus on 60 minutes of strength and conditioning and 30 minutes on the shooting lanes.

Cost: $200 per person
