Get ready, get set, SHOOT!!

The Kenosha Komets and Wisconsin Jets, are kicking off the 10,000 puck challenge today!

We're on a mission to make the Jets and Komets the best shooters around with practice and repetition.  It's simple! Take your shots and track them at 10000pucks.com. Be one of the top shooters and earn cool prizes.

How do I get signed up? Go to 10000pucks.com, click on the PLAYER icon, create an account or sign in with your hockeyshare.com log in, fill out your player info, when prompted to find a team search Kenosha Blue Line, select your 2016-2017 season age group. That's it!  Now you can log your shots all summer long.

What do I need to get started? A bunch of pucks, a stick and a safe place to shoot.

Are there any rules? Just a few, but they are easy.  All shots are recorded on the honor system and we ask parents and skaters to accurately record the number of shots taken each day. Everyone starts at zero ton June 6th, no previous shots will count. Mites and Squirts may not count slap shots, they're not legal until Pee Wee's, so no need to practice them now. The contest ends on Labor Day, September 5th and winners will be announced the morning of the 6th.

What's in it for me? Besides becoming a better shooter... lots of fun prizes!  Each age group will have a divisional winner for the player who shoots the most pucks.  The top shooter in each age group will get a $100 gift card to an awesome hockey store like Hockey Giant or Total Hockey where you can pick out anything you want!  We will also award an overall top shooter award for the skater who shoots the most pucks, regardless of age group, in the organization.  This top shooter will receive a trophy and an additional $150 gift card!  Each winner also receives a gift certificate to dinner at Mason's Pub and Eatery in Kenosha.  What if I don't win?  A better shot is a prize in itself, but every shooter who surpasses 2,000 shots will receive a special 10k Puck Challenge shirt.
 

How do I know how I am doing against my teammates? The top 3 shooters from each group will be posted on both the Jets and Komet web pages every Monday.

Keep an eye on your email. Occasionally we'll be sending out special shooting video's to make sure you're shooting effectively.  Also watch for special notes from our coaching staff and guests!
