The Komets are excited to announce our new partnership with the Kenosha Raptors Lacrosse Club. Both organizations are teaming up to offer our members fantastic crossover training opportunites for the aspiring hockey and lacrosse players in our community.
Just like hockey, lacrosse is a fast-paced sport that requires quick decisions, great mental awareness, pinpoint passing skills, and the willingness to sacrifice your body in order to make a play.
Playing lacrosse will help you develop soft hands for hockey, too. Lacrosse sticks are made with a webbed head on the end which is used to cradle the ball. Learning to cradle the ball well will drastically improve your puckhandling skills and as a hockey player you’ll find that the transition is fairly seamless.
Famous hockey players that played lacrosse are: Wayne Gretzky, Brendan Shanahan, Joe Sakic, Paul Kariya and many more!
Parent informational meeting and player registration is Monday Feb. 13th - for more information, take a look at the attached documents or go to the Raptors website @ www.kenosharaptors.com
