You must live in Kenosha County, Racine County or these bordering cities to participate with the Kenosha Komets – Winthrop Harbor, Zion, Beach Park (Benton Township), Wadsworth, Antioch and Spring Grove.

The regular registration dates were as follows

Monday, June 1st, 2009 - 6:00pm-8:00pm
Tuesday, June 2nd, 2009 - 6:00pm-8:00pm
Saturday, June 6th, 2009 - 11:00am-1:00pm
Wednesday, June 10th, 2009 - 6:00pm-8:00pm
Thursday, June 11th, 2009 - 6:00pm-8:00pm
Sunday, June 14th, 2009 - 11:00am-1:00pm

Important Notes:

Any registrations received after June 14th will be assessed a $500 late registration penalty. The only exceptions to this charge are: 1) skaters who have never skated with the Komets in the past 2) players registering for the development program. All registrations must be made in-person at one of the dates - no mail-in or drop-off registrations will be accepted!!!

USA Hockey Player/Coach Registration

Effective for the 2009-2010 hockey season, each member will be required to register their player(s) individually with USA Hockey. Each player (or coach) MUST be registered with USA Hockey for the 2009-2010 season prior to taking the ice in the fall for tune-ups. Players and coaches will NOT be allowed on the ice without proof of this registration!!!

Registration for the USA Hockey 2009-2010 season begins on May 1st, 2009 and must be done online at the following location: http://usahockeyregistration.com/. Registrations are valid from 05/01/09 - 04/30/10.

AFTER YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE REGISTRATION, PLEASE PRINT A COPY OF YOUR CONFIRMATION PAGE. THIS DOCUMENT WILL BE REQUIRED FOR YOUR PLAYER TO REGISTER FOR THE KOMETS 2009-10 SEASON! PLEASE BRING A COPY OF THIS CONFIRMATION PAGE TO THE KOMETS 2009-2010 REGISTRATION

Common Questions

Q: I've never had to register my player in the past, why do I have to now?

A: In the past, the club has registered each individual player. USA Hockey is asking that every club now have their members register individually online through their website. Almost every club now requires their members to register themselves.

Q: Do coaches need to register?

A: Yes, coaches will also have to provide proof of registration prior to being allowed on the ice for the 2009-2010 season.

Q: I registered in the Spring so my child could participate in the Spring 4 on 4 program, doesn't this registration work?

A: No, registrations prior to May 1, 2009 expire on Aug 31, 2009 and will NOT be valid for the 2009-2010 season. Registrations for the 2009-2010 season are valid until April 30, 2010.

Q: What if I forget to bring a copy of my USA Hockey Registration when I register for the 2009-2010 Komets season?

A: A copy of the USA Hockey Registration MUST be received prior to your player setting foot on the ice with the Komets for the 2009-2010 season - this includes tune-ups. No exceptions.
