***ALL SESSIONS WILL BE HELD AT KENOSHA ICE (7727 60TH AVE)***
Overview
- 4 on 4 Full-Ice
- 1 Coach/Official
- NO CHECK
- Scrimmage Hockey
- 90 Second Shifts (Buzzer)
- Every Tuesday, Wed, or Thurs in April / May (9 total sessions) - First session beginning on March 30th
- 75 Minute Sessions
- Players will skate according to their age-classifications for the 2010-2011 season
This is an opportunity for players to stay on the ice through April and May through structured scrimmages / open hockey style games. Providing a no-check environment will allow players to focus on their skill development without the worry of being hit. This should help players making an age level change transition more smoothly into their season. This is also an opportunity to get experience for some of the younger officials in the club without the pressure of a real game situation. Abuse of officials will not be tolerated. Parental assistance will be needed to run the clock and open doors for the Mite & Squirt groups.
Major penalties are automatic ejection (no refund) from the program – including (but not limited to): checking, checking from behind, fighting, slashing, butt-ending, spearing, kicking, and head-butting.
Interest to Play Deadline: March 23, 2010
Payment must be received prior to players participating in the program! Please bring a check made payable to "Kenosha Blue Line Club" to the first session.
Notes:
- Groups can opt to play in tournaments outside the 4 on 4 programs if they have enough interest. Tournament registration, fees, etc. would need to be handled by that group.
- Players do NOT have to be within the normal boundaries of the Komets in order to participate in the spring program
- Proof of USA Hockey Membership and release forms will be required for all players & goalies participating in the spring program who did NOT play with the Komets during 2009-2010.
- Devos are encouraged to skate in the Devo 2 program running from mid-Feb through mid-April
