Dear Komets Families,

As you know, our Komets Ignition and Devos program continues to grow, thanks to the efforts of Hockey Director, Jason Myers, and his volunteer coaching staff.  We have an unprecedented number of players enrolled in our Spring I session - 100 players will hit the ice this Tuesday, March 5th.  This number is truly remarkable considering this is our SPRING session when most 5-8 year olds are getting ready for soccer and baseball season!!!

Part of our development program's success is also due to your generosity!!  At least 65 of our skaters are wearing borrowed gear- but the new skaters still need gear.  We need your help!!!  If you have ANY small- medium equipment that your skater no longer needs- we can put it to use!!!  We are especially in need of helmets, skates and gloves- but we'll take anything you have!!! We could also use small and medium socks- don't worry about the holes!!!  Equipment may be dropped off at the rink any time between now and Tuesday!!  If you need a letter for tax purposes, just shoot me an email, and I'll get one to you!

Volunteer Hours:

Monday, March 4th    6:15- 8:00 p.m.  Equipment set up

Tuesday, March 5th    4:15- 6:30 p.m.  Program check-in/Equipment Distribution/Help Skaters Dress/On-ice

Note:  On-ice help is needed.  Bantam and High School players may help on-ice (helmet required). Their time will count toward your family's volunteer time.  They must check in with me to be sure I have their names on the volunteer list.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Thanks!

Mary Castle
