Please join in the support of this great event. Here is some information on the event from the organizers:

This Thanksgiving will be four years since we lost our great friend - Ryan Knight - unexpectedly. Ryan was one of the most engaging, fun, kind, and thoughtful people - and we miss him dearly. In his name and his memory, for a fourth year, we want to contribute to a cause that meant a great deal to him, his family, and our community - Kenosha youth hockey. We are hosting the 4th Annual Ryan Knight Memorial Hockey Game.

Event Details: Located at the Kenosha Ice Arena (7727 60th Ave, Kenosha, WI) on Saturday, November 24th, 2018. Doors open at 1:30PM this year. We will have three (3) total hockey games for the duration of the event. First, a KAHC Captains Game will be played at 2PM, then a special hockey game showcasing the Jets youth program at 3:30PM. Finally, the main event puck drop will be at 5PM. As always, the event is free to get in but a $20 donation at the door will get you all you can eat pizza, all you can drink beer, AND a free drink ticket to Spanky's Bar & Grill for after the game. Two years ago, the Kenosha Komets retired Ryan's number "24" and we will hold a 24 second moment of silence before the national anthem.

Raffles: Chuck ‘A’ Puck, 50/50, and over 50 raffle baskets to choose from. A few of the top prizes last year were Chicago Blackhawks regular season tickets, Chicago Bulls regular season tickets, Milwaukee Brewers regular season tickets, signed hockey pucks and pictures from Chicago Blackhawks players Nick Schmaltz and Duncan Keith, and much more!

In the past three years we’ve been able to raise over $50,000 to various programs and initiatives at the Kenosha Ice Area. In 2015, we donated to the Development and Learn to Skate program. In 2016, we donated to the Kenosha Komets Squirt travel team and the Ice Arena was able to purchase a brand new score board. In 2017 we donated to the new compressor system and sheet of ice that was just installed this year. This new system was close to One Million Dollars ($1,000,000) to install. For this year’s donations we will be donating, in the Ryan Knight Memorial Funds name, directly to each youth hockey team of the Kenosha Komets and also to the rink to continue to pay for the new ice system. Our goal is to raise $50,000 this year alone for the rink.

Our overall goal in all of this is to continue to get the youth of Kenosha involved in hockey and stay involved. Hockey is a great sport! The life lessons and lifelong relationships that come out of the sport are irreplaceable. Anthony Ventura, Matt Smith, Celena Knight, and myself (Mitch Ferraro) have experienced this firsthand. Help us give other families that opportunity.

Please help us spread the word and be sure to mark your calendars for Saturday, November 24th.
