Summer Skills - 2011
The Komets are excited to announce the return and revamp of our popular 7-week Summer Skills program. Overview of new program offerings:
- Expanded Off-Ice Training - Specific training targeted for each session, including hand-outs to help players train properly away from the rink
- Goalie Training - We're bringing in goaltender coaches to work with goalies at each level
- New On-Ice Curriculum - New topics and training techniques to keep players engaged and continue to push them to the next level
- Small Area Game / Scrimmage Session - Instead of just scrimmaging, players will spend a portion of each game session doing small area games and game scenario scrimmages
- Reversable Jerseys - Included in the cost of the program is a reversable jersey to be used during the skills and scrimmage sessions
Players will participate in their appropriate age classifications for the 2011-12 hockey season. Age classifications are based on birth years. The birth years for each age category are listed next to each age group and are included on the downloadable calendars for reference.

Players should be in shorts, t-shirt, and wear properly fitting training shoes. Players should also be prepared to bring a backup stick to use for stickhandling, shooting, and passing on pavement.
