MANDATORY COACHES MEETING
Our Hockey Director (Jason Myers) and our VP On-Ice (Neil Gwynne) will be hosting a mandatory coaches meeting on Wednesday, August 29^th @ 6:00 PM.  This meeting is for all existing coaches and anyone else interested in coaching this year.  We will be discussing our teams, coaching strategy and expectations.

ANNUAL PARENTS MEETING
Please plan to join us for one of our annual parents meetings during the week of tune-ups.  We’ll be presenting the same agenda at 2 separate sessions.

FOOTBALL MANIA TICKETS
Please remember to turn in your Football Mania ticket stubs by Saturday, Sept. 1^st.  The season starts on Sept. 5^th so we need a few days to activate all the tickets.  You can drop off the stubs in the Komets drop-box located in the lobby. 

KOMETS ICE BOWLING
Mark your calendars now for a fun filled “Welcome Back” celebration on Saturday, September 22^nd.   Come join us at the Kenosha Ice Arena for ice bowling... that's right, we're bowling with real balls and pins out on the ice!

• Event runs from Noon – 11:00PM
• 95 WILL-ROCK will broadcast LIVE from 2-4PM
• Food/Drinks provided by Uncle Mike's
• Funtimes DJ from 6-11 PM

KOMETS GOLF OUTING
The Komets Annual Golf Outing will be held on Saturday, September 29th!!  Cost is $100 per person and includes a complete day of special events:

• 18 Holes of Golf (including cart)
• Lunch at the turn
• Pig Roast & Chicken Buffet Dinner
• Various contests with chances to win a New Car and $1,000 cash!
• Entertainment by The Rock Daddy’s

HOCKEY EQUIPMENT
The Komets have always worked hard to provide gently used equipment to our newest families - free of charge.  We're all painfully aware of the high cost of hockey, so we want to do everything we can to make the game affordable. 

Over the years, our families have generously donated their used equipment as their players grow.  Each year we suit up 30-40 players from head-to-toe for our development program and another 25-30 players at our three Try Hockey Free events.

Please consider donating your old equipment to the club.  Gear can be left in the collection bin just inside the lobby area.  Also, we need help distributing equipment at the first Devos/Ignition session on September 4th.  This is a great way to earn your volunteer time while you’re at the rink for your skater!  Please contact Mary Castle @ [email protected] if you can help.
